So far the month of November has been one of marked improvement for the Okotoks Oilers.
The Alberta Junior Hockey League club owns a 5-2-1 record at this point, following a 2-1 win over South Division leaders Camrose Kodiaks on Thursday night.
Oilers head coach and GM James Poole feels his club is better now than just a few short weeks ago, and the solid month thus far is more than proof of that.
“Our players are understanding our structure and are a lot more responsible at both ends of the rink,” Poole said. “When you have players coming from midget, they are offence-focused (and) the top players at every level.
