Mark Hunter parlayed an NHL career into a franchise ownership and a management position with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Mark Hunter’s run with the Flames was short, but it earned the tough winger a Stanley Cup Championship. Hunter was never known for his scoring touch. In his 3 years with the Flames he only scored 34 goals, but managed to rack up two 100+ PIM seasons. The 1988-89 season he set a career high by sitting in the box for 194 minutes.
Hunter left the Flames in 1990 and spent 2 seasons with the Whalers and then his final NHL season in 1992-93 with the Washington Capitals.
