Coaches are intent on giving such candidates more opportunities over the final five regular-season games. And one name that keeps surfacing in interviews is sophomore Chad Hansen.
“We’re relying on him,” said graduate assistant David Gru, who works closely with the outside receivers. “He’s going to play a lot more. Definitely in the future he’s someone to keep your eye on because he’s got tremendous upside.”
“He’s starting to play more consistently,” head coach Sonny Dykes added.
