Brandon Mello—a three-star offensive tackle from Concord, CA—doesn’t tweet much. His last tweet before tonight was upon receiving an offer from the Washington State Cougars in late June. So when he does tweet, it’s a pretty big deal.
Mello—playing with Clayton Valley—committed to the California Golden Bears late Friday night thanks to some great recruiting by offensive line coach Steve Greatwood. This makes the 6’7”, 295-pounder our fourth offensive tackle commit in the Class of 2018 and fifth anywhere on the offensive line.
Mello earned offers from about a dozen schools primarily on the West Coast, including Pac-12 foes the Arizona State Sun Devils, Colorado Buffaloes, Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, Washington Huskies, and Washington State Cougars.
