This has the makings of a close game that arguably shouldn’t be close. A Laird fumble gave away easy points for Cal and another drive stalled inside the OSU 20. Oregon State eventually drove down field with help from two bad Cal penalties, bringing the game within three. The Bears finally drove downfield for seven and the quarter expired with Oregon State starting another drive.
