Daniel Lasco’s status for Cal’s Thursday night game at UCLA remains uncertain.
The running back will “hopefully be more involved” against the Bruins, coach Sonny Dykes said Tuesday. But that will again hinge on how he feels before kickoff.
It’s the latest chapter in a frustrating year for a player who rushed for 1,115 yards last season. After straining a muscle in his hip Sept. 12 against San Diego State, Lasco missed two games. He totaled just 22 yards on 10 carries against Washington State before sitting the entire second half. At Utah on Oct. 10, Lasco fumbled on his only carry.
