Griffin Piatt has eased back into practice in recent weeks. Tuesday, in one of Cal’s most intensive workouts of the week, the junior safety participated fully in contact drills.
But that hardly means Piatt will return to the lineup Saturday at Washington.
“I don’t think he’s ready yet,” safeties coach Greg Burns said after practice Tuesday. “I keep practicing him to get him ready, but right now, I don’t think he’s ready yet.
