The Oregon State Beavers and head coach Gary Andersen have decided to “mutually part” ways.
Apparently this was the fabled mutual break-up.
Andersen will step down without taking any of the remaining compensation, which is over $12 million.
“Coaching is not about the mighty dollar. It is about teaching and putting young men in a position to succeed on and off the field. Success comes when all parties involved are moving in the same direction.”
Of course, sinister speculation started up immediately
Cory Hall—formerly their cornerbacks coach—has been named the interim head coach.
