The state of Washington will be doing a overhaul of their coaching ranks this offseason. After years of speculation, Mike Leach is finally leaving Pullman.
Leach was arguably the best modern coach in Washington State Cougars football history. The Cougars have gone to bowl games the last five seasons and six of the last seven years, and have only been an Apple Cup victory away from a few Pac-12 North titles and potential Rose Bowl bids. This is a pretty stunning and pivotal moment for a program that seemed to have finally found consistency after some historic lows and decades of malaise.
