The first half was rough for the Bears. Offensively, they lacked spacing and took poor shots. To make matters worse, they did not make a single three-point shot the entire half, missing all five attempts. Defensively, they tried everything they could to try and disrupt Colorado’s flow, but ultimately it did not work. Colorado took advantage of the lackluster play of the California big men. Cal’s zone left the perimeter open, giving Colorado opportunities to shoot the ball, and they took advantage of that. Shane Gatling led Colorado with 11 points.
The second half was spectacular for the Bears.
