It appears as if California Golden Bears alum Marshawn Lynch has joined a growing host of NFL players that are expressing their right to freedom of expression about an issue that continues to rankle the league and its owners. Beast Mode sat during yesterday’s national anthem.
I believe Lynch has previously not stood for the national anthem on a few occasions (even as far back as his days at Cal). After a day of national tragedy where the ugliest side of America came out in full force, this story rose to the surface. It appears as if Lynch was responding to these events with a deep political message about where he stands on these issues.
