DAVIS - The No. 3 Cal women's water polo team continued to flash its trademark defense in notching two more victories Saturday at the Davis Invitational.
The Bears (13-1) held No. 12 Pacific scoreless in the first half and held off the Tigers for an 8-5 victory then came back to defeat Brown 11-3. Cal has now won nine games in a row.
Junior Stephanie Mutafyan led the offense with four goals in the two games while fellow junior Genevieve Weed and sophomore Carla Carrega added three.
