SEATTLE, Wash. - After a pair of near-wins and well-contested ballgames, the Cal softball team knew when it took the field Sunday against No. 9/11-ranked Washington that there wasn't much preventing the Bears from leaving Husky Softball Stadium with a victory.
Thanks to another gritty performance from Nisa Ontiveros and one big inning of offense, Cal did indeed leave town with a significant win in its pocket as the Bears earned a hard-fought 5-3 victory over the Huskies to wrap up the series.
