It wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t fun, but the California Golden Bears have to go back to work for their Week 3 (Game 2) matchup against the Oregon State Beavers on a short week of preparation.
Cal dropped their season opener against UCLA amidst wicked circumstances that included finding out their opponent with just two days of notice. Granted, that shouldn’t be an excuse because their opponent also had two days worth of notice, but at least the Bruins had a game under their belt.
The Golden Bears looked a bit lost and very much out of rhythm against UCLA and as such, didn’t receive very much praise, if any at all, from the national level.
