Closing out her final regular season game in style, Cal senior Forward-Center Kristine Anigwe reached rare company in achieving a 32 point, 30 rebound game in the Bears’ 80-58 win at Washington State last weekend (March 3rd, 2019). Anigwe became the first Division 1 women’s basketball player to reach the 30-30 plateau since UMass’s Jennifer Butler did it on December 28th, 2002. What is perhaps even more impressive, this was Anigwe’s 30th consecutive double-double.
In doing so, Anigwe earned front page story on ESPN.com and plenty of online love from all over the place.
