Go Bears

In this video I break down the 43-yard pass that set up our game-winning TD against North Carolina. In it, I look at how California Golden Bears offensive coordinator Beau Baldwin attacked a common void in North Carolina's coverage, and did so with a Run/Pass Option designed to generate easy throws for the QB while creating lots of potential for yards after the catch.

Run-pass options are fairly common in college football. Tony Franklin used them early and often as part of the Bear Raid. But this sort of play seems to emphasize the type of high percentage looks Baldwin will seek out against defensive coverages.
