It was a dramatic finish, but Collin Morikawa got it done in dramatic fashion. In just his 24th PGA Tour start, the former California Golden Bears standout golfer won his second event by winning the Workday Charity Open at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
“It was crazy,” Morikawa said. “I got off to a really good start. Thinking back 75 holes is a lot more than 72, for sure, especially when the last three are in sudden death. I’m excited right now. I’m so happy.”
The event, which is held on the same course just a week prior to the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village, saw Morikawa card the second-lowest 36-hole score in course history at 13-under par.
