In the Bears’ game against BYU last Saturday, Brandon McIlwain emerged as a key player, leading the team in rushing and picking up key yards when we most needed them. McIlwain’s contribution was significant, but he did most of his damage on QB runs with no other ball carrier in the backfield. In this video, we’ll see how Cal’s offensive playcalling mixed up the things that McIlwain was doing, and kept the offense unpredictable even as McIlwain carried the ball over and over and over again.
