Colorado’s next head coach will be Georgia defensive coordinator Mel Tucker

Just over two weeks after firing head coach Mike Macintyre, the Colorado Buffaloes have found their man—defensive coordinator of the Georgia Bulldogs, Mel Tucker.

Tucker has experience on elite teams (the LSU Tigers under Nick Saban, the Ohio State Buckeyes under Jim Tressel, the Alabama Crimson Tide with Saban again, and the Bulldogs with Kirby Smart); he also has nearly 10 years of NFL coaching experience under his belt with the Cleveland Browns, the Jacksonville Jaguars (where he has a 2–3 record as an interim head coach), and the Chicago Bears.
