Cal vs. Arizona, Q4 livethread: Freak play gives 17–14 lead to the Cats

It was a relatively-quiet third quarter... until it wasn’t. Cal is in the redzone trailing 17–14.

The Arizona Wildcats are up 17–14 thanks to a freak defensive play—a pass from Brandon McIlwain of the California Golden Bears flew off the fingers of Kanawai Noa into the arms of Colin Schooler. Jeremiah Hawkins made a great play to knock the ball out, but it took an Arizona bounce into the hands of Azizi Hearn, who returned it for the touchdown.

Life is just lovely, isn’t it?
