Cal inside linebacker Devante Downs is out for the season with a lower body injury, according to the school.

Devante was on track for the Pac-12 DPOY year with his disruptive play in the middle of the defense. Him being the heart and soul of the LB corps this will be a hit to the resurgent Cal defense.
