On Thursday, it was announced that Cal senior running back Daniel Lasco has accepted an invitation to play in the 91st East-West Shrine Game.
The game will take place Jan. 23 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The event will be televised nationally by NFL Network at 1 p.m. PST. More than 265 active NFL players and 72 Pro Football Hall of Famers participated in the game in years past.
Dealing with an injury this year, Lasco amassed a total of 331 net rushing yards on 65 carries in the eight games he took part in, averaging 5.
