The California Golden Bears got their first taste of bad news this week when redshirt-freshman linebacker Curley Young suffered a season-ending injury. Young will miss the entire shortened 2020 season due to what was called a ‘significant lower-body injury’ by head coach Justin Wilcox.
Wilcox said he looks forward to getting Young back in the spring, however.
Young was a three-star recruit out of Texas a season ago, ranking as the country’s 60th-best OLB prospect for the class of 2019. At 6’1, 210, he had great athleticism that we were waiting to see put to great use.
