Cal football great Paul Larson will be the 21st recipient of the Glenn T. Seaborg Award, Bears athletics announced Thursday.
The honor, which is named after the former Cal chancellor, is presented annually to a former Bears player who represents his alma mater in four key phases: academics, athletics, leadership and attitude. Larson will receive the award in a ceremony before the Cal-Washington State game Oct. 3 at Memorial Stadium.
“Paul is one of the very best football players in Cal Bears history,” Seaborg Award committee chair Jack Hart said in a news release. “He is also one of the finest men to have represented the University of California Golden Bears.
