In its third Pac-12 game of the season, the No. 23 Cal football team fell to No. 5 Utah, 30-24. The loss also ended the Bears’ undefeated streak. In a game that featured the Utes (5-0) maintaining a 30-24 lead with 12 minutes left in the game, the Bears offense (5-1) was unable to make a comeback, despite taking the ball all the way down the field on the last drive of the game.
Cal junior quarterback Jared Goff came into Saturday night’s game 0-4 against AP top 10 teams. His lack of success against top teams showed again in this game, with Goff throwing four interceptions in the first half and another in the fourth quarter.
