Cal football falls to USC, 27-21, in 3rd consecutive loss

In front of 52,060 spectators at Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon, Cal football (5-3) fell to USC, 27-21,. This was the Bears’ third consecutive loss and their 12th straight loss to USC.

Cal’s offense was unable to find its rhythm throughout the game, despite the return of running back Daniel Lasco, who had only been earning sparse carries during the last few weeks.

Jared Goff’s struggles continued against the Trojans, as the Bears’ junior quarterback finished the game 23-31 for 272 yards. Goff was also picked off twice, with USC cornerback and wide receiver Adoree’ Jackson notching a third-quarter pick-six after intercepting Goff at Cal’s 46-yard line.
