Cal basketball is gearing up for a big year of recruiting in an attempt to replenish the talent pool of the squad.
Cal is looking to load up on guards named Jordan for this upcoming recruiting cycle, apparently, as they became the latest team to offer Torrance (Ca.) Bishop Montgomery product Jordan Schakel.
The Bears have been recruiting him for quite a while now, but have only recently offered Schakel a scholarship.

Here is where Schakel stands in the rankings of the major recruiting services:
ESPN: 4-stars, 6th ranked player in California, 11th ranked player in his region
Rivals: 3-stars, 146th ranked player in the nation
Scout: 4-stars, 95th ranked player nationally
247Sports: 3-stars, 172nd ranked player nationally, 16th ranked player in California
The Bears will have to beat Rice, Stanford and USC to secure his commitment.
