Cal is just five days away from learning where it will head for a bowl game.
At this point, the Bears’ postseason picture is relatively straight forward: They are contending with Arizona State for a spot in the Cactus Bowl. If it isn’t selected to play Jan. 2 in Phoenix, Cal will accept an at-large berth to a lower-tier bowl.
Some of those options highlighted in bowl projections include the Dec. 19 New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, the Dec. 19 Cure Bowl in Orlando and the Dec. 28 Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit. Here are the latest prognostications:
