A large contingent of 8 California Golden Bears will be making the trip to Austin, TX on June 5th - 8th for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. These Bears qualified this past weekend with a strong showing at the NCAA West Prelims from Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, CA. For the most part, the Cal athletes needed a top 12 finish to make the national championship.
Congratulations to
Camryn Rogers, sophomore hammer thrower, earned a spot in the NCAA championship with a throw of 67.22m/220-6. Rogers may be considered a favorite for a rare Cal NCAA individual title with her win this past weekend; she also won the Pac-12 title a couple of weeks ago.
