BYU didn’t have any rust from the 19-day layoff as they dominated on both sides of the ball en route to a 48-7 victory over Troy.
Zach Wilson had a career night, finishing 23/28 for a career high 392 passing yards and adding 2 touchdowns through the air and 2 on the ground. Dax Milne and Gunner Romney were the main beneficiaries of Wilson’s passes as they finished with 140 and 138 receiving yards, respectively. BYU’s 664 yards of total offense were the most since for BYU since they put up 681 versus Houston in 2013.
Troy’s defense didn’t put up much of a fight, but Zach looked 100% recovered from the right shoulder surgery he had in the 2019 offseason.
