The New England Patriots Super Bowl LI championship ring contains 283 diamonds, an apparent nod to the 28-3 deficit the Patriots overcame to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime in the championship game.
The New England Patriots received their rings for winning Super Bowl LI during a private party Friday night, and that group included a pair of locals: former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy and ex-Ute defensive back Eric Rowe.
Van Noy posted a video to Instagram of the moment he opened the box containing the ring, showing the raw emotion that equates with being a Super Bowl champion.
