Four Latter-day Saint missionaries, including one from Utah, were injured Saturday in a deadly two-vehicle collision in the South Pacific island of New Caledonia.
Gordon Kimball, from Bluffdale, along with three other missionaries — Jacob Hable, from Jakarta, Indonesia; Jeremie Champoux, from Drummondville, Canada; and Atepa Temaiana, from Mo’orea, French Polynesia — suffered injuries but are expected to recover, according to a news release Sunday from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“We invite people of faith everywhere to pray for all those involved in the accident,” church spokesman Daniel Woodruff said in the release, “particularly for the family and loved ones of the individual who passed away.
