PROVO — Utah Valley has beaten BYU in basketball for the first time in school history.
The Wolverines used a balanced attack to defeat the Cougars 114-101 at the Marriott Center. UVU junior guard Brandon Randolph had an outstanding game, missing a triple double by one rebound (21 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds). Joining Randolph in double figures in scoring were former BYU player Isaac Nelson (26 points, 8 rebounds), Connor Toolson (21 points, 3 steals), Jordan Poydras (20 points, 3 assists) and Jared Stutzman (11 points, 3 blocks).
