Utah Royals score more than one goal for the first time this season, beat Orlando Pride 2-0

The Royals beat the Orlando Pride 2-0 Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium, marking the first time in six games this season that Utah has scored more than one goal.

Utah’s Vero Boquete appeared to get undercut by an Orlando player while going for the ball in the 31st minute. Boquete hit the ground and the whistle sounded, resulting in a penalty kick for the Royals. Forward Amy Rodriguez buried it to give URFC a 1-0 lead.

Then in the 89th, a quick restart on a free kick landed right in Makenzy Doniak’s path. It was just her versus Pride goalkeeper Haley Kopmeyer.
