Utah 7, No. 18 BYU 6 (13 innings)
PROVO — BYU and Utah met for the final time this season on the baseball diamond, and apparently the two teams wanted to prolong the game, and the series, as long as possible.
Nearly five hours long.
After the No. 18 Cougars and Utes staged a see-saw battle through the first seven innings, they played five innings of scoreless baseball before Utah claimed a 7-6 victory Tuesday night at Larry H. Miller Field in the 13th inning in a game that lasted four hours and 52 minutes — and featured 12 different pitchers.
