Police are looking for a man who stole a car with a child in the back seat on Tuesday morning in Tooele.
According to the Tooele City Police department, a woman left her young son in the car outside her apartment, near 1900 West and 1900 North, about 7:30 p.m. to go back inside for a moment. That’s when the unidentified man jumped in the vehicle and drove off.
The woman’s father, Guy Ashdown, told FOX 13 that his wife went back to see what was keeping their daughter when the car was stolen.
"As soon as she walked away from the car, [the suspect] ran up, got in the car and took off," Ashdown said.
