Utah law enforcement, search and rescue crews combing abandoned mines near Eureka

Law enforcement crews on Wednesday were searching abandoned mines in Utah’s west desert — in an area where two teenagers went missing months ago.

Friends and family have been searching Utah’s west desert for Brelynn “Breezy” Otteson and her boyfriend, Riley Powell, since the teenagers went missing on Dec. 30.

On Wednesday afternoon, police scheduled a news conference to give an update on the search. Officials did not immediately confirm whether the search was related to the missing teenagers.
