Utah businessman convicted of selling firearms without a license is sentenced to four years

A Utah businessman was sentenced to four years in a federal prison and a $100,000 fine on Thursday for selling firearms without a license and tax fraud.

Adam Michael Webber — who operated HK Parts, an online resale site for firearms, parts and accessories — was indicted in 2014 on one count of dealing in firearms without a license and five counts of filing false tax returns.

He pleaded guilty to the count of dealing in firearms without a license in May. A U.S. District Court jury convicted him of five counts of false tax returns in September 2016.
