TJ Haws took the ball nearly the full length of the court and hit a buzzer beater to lift BYU past Houston, 72-71. Here’s the final play:
BYU raced out to a 14-point first half lead, but Houston’s length and athleticism wore BYU down almost enough. BYU’s relentlessness and big plays down the stretch kept Houston from truly taking over and kept BYU in it the whole way.
BYU got contributors from all over, with 16 points from Alex Barcello, 14 apiece from Kolby Lee and Jake Toolson, and 10 points from TJ Haws.
