Tyler Allgeier had over 200 rushing yards and 13th-ranked BYU’s defense held in the second half as the Cougars came out on top 34-20 at Utah State Friday evening.
BYU’s offense was humming in the first half and jumped out to a 24-13 halftime lead, but QB Baylor Romney went out with a concussion, slowing down BYU’s offense in the second half half. Jacob Conover filled in and didn’t have any turnovers, but it was Allgeier that put BYU on his back and won the game. Allgeier rushed for 208 yards on just 22 carries and had 3 TDs.
