News broke quickly Friday afternoon on Twitter about the unexpected departure of BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall for the University of Virginia head coaching job.
Mendenhall signed a five-year deal and will begin with an annual compensation of $3.25 million, according to the official University of Virginia press release.
Former and current players and members of the media were quick to weigh in.
