On Saturday, the college football world was put on hold while teams prepare for their final bowl games to finish off the season. Two teams — Army and Navy — however, were put onto center stage as the only game of the weekend in the historic rivalry matchup.
But for head coach Ken Niumatalolo, he was already in the national spotlight for reasons unrelated to 21-17 victory for his Midshipmen over the Black Knights. All day, Niumatalolo was pestered with questions regarding the vacant head coaching position at BYU, and though he confirmed that he was interested, he had to celebrate potentially his last win over longtime rival in style.
