1991-93: Began his college basketball career with the Washington Huskies, earning Pac-10 Freshman of the Year honors in 1992 while averaging 8.1 rebounds per game as a power forward.
1994-96: Transferred to the University of Kentucky under coach Rick Pitino, where he helped the Wildcats win the national title in 1996. Pope averaged 7.
