The Weekly Run: Donovan Mitchell’s alley-oop was ‘a Christmas gift from god’ — and also Jae Crowder

Yesterday was Christmas. The Jazz played a game. There’s a fair amount of stuff big and small to unwrap from it, such as:

• Analysis of Quin Snyder’s X’s and O’s acumen, plus assorted holiday nonsense like Craig Bolerjack’s light-up jacket and Damian Lillard’s “A Christmas Story”-style lamp — modeled after his own leg, and featuring (of course) an adidas shoe.

About 7 minutes into the first quarter, Kyle Korver stole the ball and tossed it to Jae Crowder in the middle of the court. Crowder saw Donovan Mitchell running ahead of the defense, and apparently had a thought along the lines of, I’ll just put it up there from halfcourt and see what happens.
