The latest QB update from BYU Football

BYU Football Offensive Coordinator Ty Detmer spoke to media Tuesday and confirmed that Tanner Mangum will start at QB against Mississippi State Saturday.

Ty Detmer confirms that Tanner Mangum will get the start against Miss State, Joe Critchlow will be primary backup. Hoge has been ruled out.

Mangum was the sure starter for the first three games, until he injured his ankle late in the Utah game. Then the Cougars saw Beau Hoge take the lead, starting against Wisconsin as well as Utah State.
