Team Fredette headed to Utah this summer as Salt Lake City named regional host in 2019 The Basketball Tournament

Jimmer Fredette will be playing in Utah again.

The Basketball Tournament, the annual $2 million winner-take-all summer event, announced Tuesday that Salt Lake City — with games played at the Maverik Center — will be one of eight regional host cities for this year’s event, with Team Fredette serving as the host team in Utah.

The first three rounds of the TBT will be played at the regional host cities in 2019. The Salt Lake City regional will take place July 25-27.

The eight regional winners will advance to Championship Weekend in Chicago. The quarterfinals, semifinals and the championship will take place at DePaul University from Aug.
