According to Unified Police, the fatal crash involved a Ford Trailblazer traveling west on 3900 South, it swerved into the eastbound lane and collided with a Nissan sedan about 1 a.m. Tuesday. Padilla was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Nissan suffered only minor injuries; three other passengers of the Trailblazer were injured and a fourth was not; the driver of the Trailblazer, captured after he fled the scene, was treated for minor injuries and taken into custody.
