PROVO — BYU’s Tanner Mangum has experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows of being a true freshman quarterback — and he's only started four games.
For example, one week after looking jittery, uncomfortable and flummoxed while throwing for just 55 yards in a shutout loss at Michigan, Mangum came back to set freshman school records for passing yards (365), completions (35) and attempts (53) last week against Connecticut. He also threw two interceptions and two touchdowns.
