Though an 8-pound Pallas’ cat remained at large Monday, he made an appearance on overnight surveillance footage at the zoo, putting officials more at ease.
But cameras set up at the zoo overnight captured still images of Mushu, who appears to have stayed close to his exhibits on zoo grounds as expected, said zoo spokeswoman Erica Hansen.
Staff members at Hogle Zoo first noticed that the wildcat, Mushu, was found missing from his outside habitat at about 8 a.m. Sunday.
The 10-month-old cat poses no threat to to humans, a news release from the zoo said, and extra staffers were called in Sunday night and Monday to search for him.
