Sunday morning quarterback: Stars and stats from the BYU win over Fresno State

The Cougars used a strong defensive effort to overcome a sluggish start as they knocked off the Fresno State Bulldogs 52-10 at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars forced three turnovers, blocked a kick and held the Bulldogs to just 275 yards of total offense as they improved to 8-3 on the season.

Fresno State got on the board first when Kody Kroening connected on a 28-yard field goal. One of the big plays to set up the score was a 6-yard completion from Zack Greenlee to Da'Mari Scott on third-and-5 to move the chains.
